Patton Law – Working with You & For You
At Patton Law, we understand that most people are not expecting the costs associated with a legal case. Fortunately, there are alternatives for you. Depending on the type of case, we try to offer you some sort of payment option that will ease the burden.
Personal Injury
The regular practice of most Florida Lawyers for a Personal Injury case is a contingency. This means that the attorney doesn’t get paid unless you win. At Patton Law, we follow the same method. If you are hurt, contact us. We will discuss the facts of your case with you and see if we can help. If we have a claim we can pursue, we will set you up on a contingency fee in which we will take a percentage of the award you get at the end of the case. We only get paid if you do.
Family Law
Patton Law offers two main options for our Family Law Clients:
1. A Non-Refundable Retainer and then an hourly fee, or
2. A Non-Refundable flat fee.
Both options take a number of factors into account and allow us to work for you. Family Law cases require money up front. You may wonder: why no contingency fee? The simple answer is because it is not allowed by the Florida Bar. However, we have worked out relationships with a number of local banks and can refer you to other websites to help obtain personal lines of credit, normally through credit cards where you could qualify for a variety of repayment options. We are committed to our clients and help to make the payment process as easy as possible by accepting all major credit cards: Visa, Discover, MasterCard and American Express.
Criminal Defense
Patton Law offers Flat Fee Retainers for our criminal cases. After a thorough review of your case we will present to you a flat fee option, with an additional fee for trial if the case goes that far. With this option, you are able to understand what to expect for the duration of the case. As with our Family Law cases, we accept all major credit cards. This allows you to budget the costs of your case over a period of time and often at a great promotional rate.
